TC 2.01, TC++, and MS VC 1.52 haven't changed a lick since then (five or six years). But Digital Mars, Watcom (now OpenWatcom) are still developed (although I dunno if they really worked on the C++ much, still not nearly as compliant as G++, but 1.8 beta does have someone heavily tweaking it, supposedly). I actually heard someone claim that Digital Mars (or Zortech, whatever) was the first native C++ (PC?) compiler (i.e., not a front-end?). So, it should be good at C++, but I dunno how compatible it is in 16-bit DOS land (meh).

Here's what Eric's latest kernel ("fat security") compile is:

Watcom sizes: 386/16 41280 /32 45857 86/16 43517 /32 46174
TurboC sizes: 186/16 42720 /32 45132 86/16 42861 /32 45267
