Right, I tried and failed too. I guess you really need MinGW + MSYS. (If anybody here builds statically and gets it working under HX, please post here!)

Well, I'll admit, some of those .ZIPs are really small and have like two (useless by themselves) files. So, I'm not exactly sure why they don't just lump some of them together (e.g. all DOS extenders) into one .ZIP. But I'm not exactly volunteering (yet).

A lot of DOS packages don't build on DOS (esp. re: DJGPP). LFN issue? Other?? (How hard is it, really, to support both?)

I dunno, maybe some tools (\BINW\vi.exe ??) rely on it for some odd reason? (At least, Alt+M reports very inaccurate !negative! numbers with other extenders, at least CWSTUB or DOS/32A.)
