There is no "fpc" and "users". It is opensource, and all responsibility is shared between all interested parties. As said, it is no priority, and if you want to speed up the priority, the only solution is to put in some work.

No. To stay in the analogy, it is more that somebody has drawn a rough sketch of a wheel, and then says "the problem is solved", and leaves it to others to implement and fit it under a series of cars.

Reuse of software is often portrait as easy, while it isn't.

How do you know that if you haven't researched it? Is your knowledge of OS/2 and BeOS that well? :-)
